No that is hooked on a down rigger. All 16 rods that were in the water were either on down riggers, planer boards or dipsy diver discs and all of them get a bend like that while trolling.

Ive only trolled for trout using cowbells and the poles only bent back. That one looks like it's straight down under the boat? Guess Ill have to try it sometime....

That particular rod has an 8lb finned weight on it and we were trolling it @ 1.9-2.2 mph.
I prefer the coho for eatin. We did pick up 6 coho today and the biggest was 6lbs.
Damn, what a chunk. Fish is big too. :)
