I had to have all my cats tagged to take to the taxidermist, this is per the wright county ca.I've got 4 there now, wonder why I can't make money at this:bangin:
The stuff I don't sell live market or for taxidermy,I sell whole.Back won't let me skin much and for a couple bucks I won't fool with it.
Heres what I got at the furbuyer
fox-10.00
****-tops 12 bottom 4
coyote-2.00, and he really did'nt want them
cats were bringing 60-70 bucks, did'nt sell any
otters 75-80 ,quotes from 2 buyers.
I think your better off selling whole for taxidermy or to the live market if you have one.
Not a lot of money in trapping,I'll never break even, gas, traps ,supplies etc.
I'm kinda like the goldminer that was asked what he'd do if he had a million dollars. His reply,I'd mine till it was all gone. theres nothing like rolling up to a set and having a cat, every one is like your first.Every morning checking sets is like the first day of deer season with the anticipation.
When you get ready to gear up,let me know if you need any help,I'll be more than happy to share the little knowledge I've accumulated.I've got some books and tapes if you want to borrow them.

Oh yea, don't thank me,I'll not be doing you any favor getting you hooked. It's as bad as duck hunting, fly fishing or any of the other activities(vices?) we love.
If you think I'm not hooked,we got 8 days left and I've been making new sets for two days.
