I just received the 2018 Scorpyd Aculeus 460. This is the fastest crossbow currently in production. My bow chrony'd at 464feet per second. It comes in either black or mossy oak camo. Another feature is an adjustable trigger. It can be set super light pull or light pull for hunting. It can also be purchased with a Acu Draw cocking devise.

What crossbow brand do you most recommend between Mission, Ravin, Excalibur, and Scorpyd?

I'm not a Ravin fan I don't like the railess design or the safety issue. MISSION makes very good bows in my opinion. The new sub1 is very accurate and the let down feature is really nice it could be a little faster. Scorpyd is like the Cadillac of crossbows well built and balanced across their models. I rate mission and Scorpyd as equals just different platforms.

I just don't see me getting it woods ready by the end of the season. Besides I still need to use my Mission Charge on one. Its just been to cold for me, the sitting in the blind would be ok, I can heat it, but if you shoot one the recovery would be hard to take.
