have a new accura muzzleloader. i have tried 245gr. powerbelts with 100 gr. of
whitehot pellets but i am not impressed. best i could do was 4" group at 100 yards. any suggestions are where i go from here. thanks for any help.

Just my opinion here.....throw those powerbelts as far as you can. Again...just my opinion. I'm a firm believer in Tripple 7 loose powder behind a Hornady SST or XTP of your choice of weight.

Just my preference.

I shoot 245gr. powerbelts with 100 gr. of Triple 7 pellets out of my CVA and get great results. I can group within a 3" circle at 100 yards. If I bump it to 150gr. of Triple 7, it gets less accurate. Each gun has it's own combination that will shoot best. It's best to hit the range with several type of sabots and power to see what works best.

i just got in from 3 hrs of playing with an accura, im downloading video right now to photobucket, i can tell ya this
shooting 200gr shockwaves and 250gr shockwaves this gun put 1 slug into the next on target, i actually have video of the 3rd and 4th slug 200grer's 3" above the 250grs slug,
he was shooting 90gr triple se7en powder and triple 7 primers

shots 1 and 2 already on target, ink changed something in the load for shots 3 and 4, i think he upped the powder, but could have went with lighter slugs, i'll let him tell ya, i can't remember

anyway heres shot 3 a bit higher than shot 1 and 2 which is virtually in the same hole

The 300 grain .452 XTP or the Speer 300 grain .451 Uni-Cor in a Harvest Black crushed rib over 90 to 100 grains of either T7 or BH209 should perform well.

Are you swabbing damp/dry after every shot? I've never used the White Hots but swabbing shouldn't hurt.

90acres.... first blood?!

I sat in my blind for a couple of hours this evening and it seemed NOTHING was moving. Surprised me really.
