I shot a real nice coyote this morning and since I don't have one mounted I'm thinking of mounting this one . The guy that has been doing my Taxi. work does not do coyotes , just deer . I called 2 places around here , (not likeing there prices ) but wondering who you guys would recomend around the Pike , Lincoln , St. Charles area that is good and reasonable , or someone in a joining co.

76_michael, you said you didn't like the prices, alot of people don't, but I'm sure timberland would agree there is alot of work that goes into full body mount such as a coyote. I enjoy mounting the full body stuff, but I could have atleast one deer done and lot done on another in the time it takes to put a fullbody together along with a habitate and all. I hope you find a taxi that the price is right for you and they put out some good work.

Hey Michael...if you don't mind saying what was the price quote from the two STL taxidermists. But I gotta agree with show me jon b about pricing and I'll add that just because a yote isn't very big and may be considered a "trash critter", the taxidermy work on one is very detailed, requires care and patience, and requires skill and good workmanship to be made look good (ask my dad..he's got a REAL ugly one in his shop that was cheaply done).

Not picking on ya...that's why I wondered how much the price was..to get an idea if your expectaions are in line or not...:cheers:

B&D taxidermy does yote mounts too. Full bodies do take time and paitence for sure. A trapper just brought us at B&D taxi a good load of critters a few yotes,*****, skunks, and some beaver too. Good luck findin a taxidermist.

Well I took it to coyotehunter to mount it , I just could not beleive the prices , Everything has sure went up , I guess that is why for the last 7 or8 years I have just had some hides tanned out , but anyway I did not know that they were so hard to mount , I guess that why I'm not a Taxi. It is sure a neat art Thanks for all the info
