What draw weight are you shooting with the compound? You may not need a crossbow depending on what draw weight you currently shoot.
I've had to drop weight over the years due to a shoulder injury. Went from 68lb to currently 52. I increased arrow weight from 385gr to 485gr and use a cut on contact fixed blade. No problem going through deer. No need to draw a lot of weight for deer, I'd have no problem dropping to 45lbs and just keeping shots under 30yrds, which most of mine are anyway.

You saved a lot on that Bow....I have the same one that cost Me over $500.00.Its a good accurate bow..lots of good features and You can add silencers to quiet it down and a sling for easier carrying.
