Went to one of our CAs this morning for a duck hunt with Dan(greenhead), my son. Didnt get any ducks, but DID get a snow goose. So far this year, a total of 2 geese have been shot at this CA. Apparently, a snow goose has not been taken in quite some time, there.

Anywho, there's a knock on the front door. I look out, and a uniformed man is standing on my porch. I go outside, and he asks for my son, Dan, by name. Not good, Im thinking. He then asks, if we had been hunting this morning. Told him yes. He proceeds to tell me that he had been contacted by the CA, that my son had reported a snow goose taken, and they wanted verification that what we had was really a snow goose.

Wow, all in a matter of 5 hours, they tracked my son down! :rof2::quackquack:

I'm betting it was due to the attention the swan shooters got lately. They showed two swans this morning on the local St. Louis news that were shot by hunters that had "mistaken" them for snow geese. Anyway, I bet they wanted to make sure it didn't happen again.
