My first choice of scope to go on my new AR was a Vortex Strikefire. However, my AR is going to be used for predator hunting I thought maybe that wouldn't be the best choice. After debating with myself and research I came across one that Im sure will do just fine. Its the Nikon Coyote Special 3x9x40 and mine will be in matte black finish. Here's a link...
What do ya think?

I have been singing praises for Nikons around here lately and I think that would be a great choice. Is the BDC set up specifically for a .223? Something comparably priced I think would be the Leupold AR scope and someone correct me if I am wrong but I think it has some variation of a bdc reticle set up specifically for the .223.

In any case I don't think you can go wrong with a Nikon. I have a Nikon at that lower end of the pricing spectrum like this one and the glass is really really nice.

When you getting that gun?

I ordered the gun today and will pick it up after Christmas Day. I found a good mount for this scope on Midway USA and will try to get out and bust some. I believe the scope is set up for .223 and 22-250. I found it somewhere but if you keep looking you will find it. Picked up an electronic caller today in a trade with Macon County Boy and man Im gettin really excited to learn a new kind of hunting I have never done before.

It's vert addictive at first. The very first time I set up with an electric caller I killed two on my second session. I was hook from then one. I'm about to run out of places to go anymore, the yotes seem to be moving around alot these last couple years, never in the same place twice.
