First id like to say this is an awesome website! I came over from another site during the multi-forum contest and this is without a doubt the best hunting/fishing site on the net. There's always something cool to check out, so...:2thumbsup:

Anyhow, I caught this Blue Cat out of the Upper James River in Virginia this weekend. Ive caught a bunch of 5-8 lb'ers but nothing like this guy. He's my biggest cat so far... 33" and at least 16 lbs, he hung off the scale.

I got him on my bass fishing rig...a medium action rod with 10# Fireline. I used a cut up bream for bait and when he chomped, the fight was on! Its a good thing I had the drag set good cus he was testing the line to the limit. I knew he was a good one but I was shocked he turned out to be this big. I was by myself so it was total chaos getting him landed. I had the rod in one hand, a flashlight in my mouth, and the other hand trying to scoup him up out of the water.

    Nice rod and reel catch...

I don't find blues to be that great to eat but I've had worse.
