Just got into the stand, sitting on the edge of a creek bottom looking into a clover and turnip plot. Using a decoy for the first time ever. Huge scrape 40 yards to my left, hope it's a good night.

Just a tip, face that decoy toward you if you're using it as a buck and away from you or quartering away if you're using it as a doe.

Bucks will approach a buck decoy from the front 9 times out of 10 and a doe decoy from the back 9 times out of 10. Just from my experience.

nope no luck, did not even see a single deer! The decoy sure looked good in the plot if that counts. Thanks for the advice on decoy placement. This was my first time using one, next time he will be facing me a little more.
