Muzzy trocar HB

Has anyone used the muzzy trocar HB, if so what are your thoughts? I am currently shooting the Muzzy Trocar 100 grain fixed blade and like them, but my lack of seeing blood has me thinking about going to a larger cut diameter.

I have no intentions of shooting Rage either.

Sorry but I havn't used the broadhead you are asking about but I thought i'd share my opinion of expadables in general. I am not a fan of expandables of any type. Others swear by them. To each their own. I see it as just another thing that can fail in the MOT and I've personally had a rage skip off a quartering away shot and passthrough issues, so I have a bad taste for mechanicals. The lack of a passthrough def could hinder your bloodtrail. I shoot G5 montec boadheads and I have always had good blood trails and pass-through's and I never have to worry about blades breaking or catching a limb or brush and premature deploying a blade. Like everyone always says, nothing will make up for a poor shot and there has been plenty of deer killed with each. Good luck.
I have shot a doe with one.I like useing does as my experiment animals. They worked really well she died quickly and bled a lot.I never practiced beyond 40 yards with them so not sure on their longer range accuracy but 0-40 they flew good out of my bow.Currently I have Slick Trick Viper Tricks And Rage Hypos in my quiver.I like those 2 heads better than the Muzzy’s but I still haven’t gotten rid of the 3 I have in my storage box in my bow case.I’ll definitely throw one on again one day
The Trocar HB features 0.35" thick surgically sharp stainless steel mechanical blades that stay tucked in tight to the solid-steel ferrule in flight, but they deploy reliably with a 1-5/8" expandable cutting diameter. The fixed blades are also 0.35" thick and have a cutting diameter of 1".

Thanks for the feedback. I bought a pack and plan on trying them. I still have my regular fixed blade Trocar as my go main broadhead. I will post up my review if I have success.
Broadhead thread time! Spitfires are basically the shiz for whitetails.

Hope to start going for archery elk in the next year or 2, and I’d switch back to g5 strikers and a heavier arrah when that happens.

I agree. I almost had my own blood trail screwing them on.

Those look good...

Since I have gone to a 50lb bow(even though it probably shoots as fast as any other bow I ever had) I will stick to my NAP Hellrazors which are the same as Bass Pro's Blackouts, Nap makes then for Bass Pro..
like the G5 Strikers they are easy to get scary sharp

this is what I use and use the angle they show in the picture, not a flat stone. also use this a

I will post my review of them.

I have practice with them a few times and all fly's well. I shot a buck last night and it went through the ribs. Broad head is still useable but the fixed blades took more damage. You can defiantly see the 2 mechanical cuts and the fixed is a big bare spot. I didn't get to blood trail due to it being wet and also he only ran 65 yards.

Overall I'm happy and will keep shooting them.

Good job Heavy. What was your pour of choice to celebrate that evening?

What sharpener is that? And where did you get it? I'm looking for something similar.
