    Looks like THIS week.
Had three bucks trailing a doe this morning. Went close by twice. Leading buck was a huge bodied thing, but wouldn't slow down long enough to deflate him.
About 10 minutes later, a young 8 point came by trailing the path like a bloodhound.
There's at least one doe in the woods smelling interesting.

I like sitting out all day and depending on the when, I've seen deer at all those times. In a perfect world, I'd sleep til 10, go out and sit in the corner of a crp field at 10:30 and kill a 203 incher within 10 minutes of shutting off the truck. Yeah, that happened several years ago on our farm. But I'm not bitter....

Mid-day has been the best to me for the bigger deer. Morning and evenings are equal really if I get up in the morning to go. :D

I don't think I could sit all day if I was on a Drury or Lakosky farm in Southern Iowa during the peak rut!!!!!!

don't know why, just cant sit there ALL day....I just need a break to recharge......

I am going to try to give all-day another shot on friday though......well see

This time of year I prefer mornings. The rest of the time I like evenings.
