    Dr. Bastian has been working on his spiroplasma theory for years, decade or more. here is his latest on a potential cwd tse prion test he has been working on;

    That is pretty light reading.IF THE BACTERIA CAN BE IDENTIFIED AND IT DOES INDICATE CWD I WOULD THINK THE SAME TEST COULD BE DONE ON INSECTS TO POSSIBLY FIND OUT THE OTHER PLAYERS IN THE FIELD.iF I UNDERSTAND HIS WORK CORRECTLY HE BELIEVES IT IS THE BACTERIA THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CWD. with the present test for prions they can not say the animal does not have cwd if the test is negative but if the test is positive it is certain.
    BASTIAN HAS SAID THAT THE SAME BACTERIUM CAN EFFECT PLANTS AS WELL. it would be interesting to find out what the bug destroying the red oak carries . Or the mysterious oak decline going on.
