So I was heading to work this morning and I come around a corner and a momma doe & a button buck where walking across the road. The doe continued on into the woods and the button buck just stood there looking at this car heading right towards him. Thank goodness for my ninja turtle like reflexes as I was able to stop before the next world record became my new hood ornament. He stood there for about 15 more seconds, only 10 feet in front of me, before taking off with his mom. He wasn't very big but all I could think about was how good I would be eating tonight if I would have just floored it instead. Hope he don't venture down the road a few miles this weekend, it will be his last trip if he does.

I drive a ton of 2 lane highway around here. I usually am in an old 94 Jeep. Every time I make a trip down one of these windy 2 lane HWYs, I make a decision before I do, dog, cat, deer, whatever it is I may have to take it head on. It`s just impossible to swerve around critters on some of these roads. Knock on wood, I was able to to completely stop for 3 different pairs of deer during the Nov. rut, I was driving slower than normal:D, and to date I`ve only had to take an old dog, and he was probably better off. Although it kinda freaked out my younger son when he felt him under the rear floorboard:whinging:
