I recieved this in an email today. All I know is what's here so I'm not sure how true it is.

Subject: BUSTED Island deer photos[Scanned]

This was on Buck Lavasseur last night. He said there would be more information coming at a later date. This St. Martin’s island is located on Lake Michigan south of Bay De Noc. This is a private island. He also mentioned 2 conditions on this island that are not the same as the rest of the U.P. They feed the deer there with no restrictions not like the rest of the U.P. where there is controlled winter feeding allowed in some areas only to prevent starvation and there are no wolves on that island. I think the DNR could use this as a model to manage the deer heard in the U.P.

Pictures from a DNR raid on St. Martin's Island off of the U.P. on Nov. 19th, 2009.

31 Bucks and 9 Does on the pole, nothing smaller than a 7. Approx. 10 deer, antlers, and heads found around the camp. Also, a smaller mix of bucks and does...

10 deer without tags, another 10 with wives/girlfriends tags.

Think the fines will be a little high???

These boys are on the naughty list this year…….

I know common sense escapes fellas like that.....but what could they possibly have to gain by pullin such an ignorant stunt. Based on how they have those deer strung up around the access road they either weren't too scared of gettin caught or they didn't care. I agree.....what a shame

[rquote=1503035&tid=104877&author=philip_grubaugh]It probably wasn't the first time they had done something like that.... does anyone know how many people were actually involved in this.[/rquote]

Yeah, looks like they was prepared to have several deer hanging.
