Give me some feedback Ladies & Gents...

Valley Park Elevator and Purina have decided on that they would be able to provide over 70 items for us to give, raffle, door prize, or however we see fit to distribute....

We are also going to have a gift certificate to Denny Dennis's in the amount of 200.00 minimum and will be increased if we get a heck of a turnout...tickets will be 10.00 for a chance on the gift certificate.

We have little or no money in the bank due to mailings to our 300+ members on the list. We are trying to build up a little cushion for QDMA efforts in Missouri, mailings, advertising, event costs, and various expenses.

Plan A.. we raffle off the Purina stuff for 5.00 per ticket and giving some of the smaller items as door prizes.

Plan B...we include all items in the 10.00 raffle

Plan C...we only raffle off the 200.00 gift certificate, and the Purina stuff is given out as door prizes.

Plan D...any suggestions??

Note...Powder Valley does not allow guns into the premises...hence the gift certificate....Purina and Valley Park Elevator will be bringing stuff like...Antler Max, Deer chow, Deer blocks, and some food plot seed. Valley Park and Purina don't care how we distribute the stuff.

Just got home from a good, long, day....just shot my best score in our archery league...194...sorry Scott!

We met with the MDC official, Steve Specia, and they are going to distribute a packet of literature on Missouri whitetail programs available from the MDC. They are also going to add our membership applications in their packets. Purina will have tons of brochures and info, and we also have tons of good pamphlets and information that will be free. Everyone should come away with some knowledge at the very minimum...lots will leave with 40lbs or more of Purina deer supplements.

We have decided to go with a version of Plan B. Everyone who attends will have a chance at some items that will be used for door prizes. We are going to have say 10 or more items that will be set aside for door prize use...

From what we are hearing....you will need to get there early to have a seat...the auditorium will hold 250 seating...WOW..that will be awesome if it does get packed.

Did I mention that we are going to have a special, one time only, membership offer to join the QDMA, at the seminar. Very cheap cost to join the QDMA! Can't mention it here due to complications if we do mention it...you will just have to attend and find out.

Hope to see and meet fellow MWT'lrs at this seminar...

Chase they elected me to do the podium speaking, so make sure you come and find me, I hope that there will be time to chat.

No charge to attend, but we would appreciate your involvement in the raffle. The Conservation areas don't allow you to charge an admission fee, we were not going to anyway, as the MDC and Purina folks have donated their time and plenty of products. Our goal here at the Gateway Branch is to present the best possible education that we can and hope that you will help us to do that....I have some great news about the 2006 Gateway Banquet that I am sure, all who attend, will find very interesting!!!

I hope you all had fun or learned something at the seminar. Steve Spezia and Scot Mikols of the MDC spoke about land management and really gave out some good points on how to better your property for all kinds of wildlife. We are giving them memberships to the QDMA to show them what we are about....

The Purina guys really put on a good talk about their products and how they will enhance the nutrition available to the herd at very crucial times of the year. We are hoping to be able to do more with them in the future.

We were very happy with the turnout of about 130 attendees. We were able to give away over 70 items, 12 bags of Purina annual food plot mix, 20 bags of Deer chow, 20 bags of Antler Max, 20 Deer blocks, Buckspy software, and QDMA hats...Oh, and a 200.00 gift certificate to Denny Dennis.

We signed up about 25 new members and have grown our local mailing list to over 330...I wish we could have gotten more email addresses... .39X330=partial snail mailing costs.

We are working on getting a private tour of the Purina Farms property, we will do our best to get that done...may have to limit it to members only though...sorry..

If the other branches want a good Purina contact name, give me a u2u and I will hook you up.

Again, thanks to all that attended and we hope to see you at our next event.
