2014 was a very good season for me, and I decided that in 2015 I want to keep a journal of my hunts. I do most of my prep and scouting on my parents farm, and that is where I bow hunt. I saw several young bucks from the stand in 2014, but didn't really get any on a game cam, my first goal for this season is to get better camera sets to get a better idea of what I am walking into. I am also thinking about moving some stands and possibly setting up a second ground blind. I have a trophy rock that I will set out when I put out my cams but right now I am just waiting til spring.

The pic I am in is my bow buck, the other my rifle buck, I hit him in the heart with my bow

I bought it to put out but wasn't sure if they'd be on it now, I might throw it out with my cam if they'll go after it now

Went down tonight and put out my trail camera. I decided to do this last minute and forgot my trophy rock, and I forgot to snap a pic of the setup.

Well I went down today and put out my trophy rock. I swapped cards honing to see some bone (knowing most bucks here are young) and I wasn't disappointed ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1424033339.819632.jpg ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1424033350.888566.jpg ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1424033364.617624.jpg

Went out and checked the cam today, got several doe pics including these. I also found a spike shed while wandering around ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1425844671.636340.jpg ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1425844689.322689.jpg ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1425844699.939874.jpg ImageUploadedByMissouri Hunting1425844712.219419.jpg

henry Fan Boy aka Mr Twisty and

Momma deer are good to see. If the spikes are shedding most of the bigguns should be done.

I had a lot of pics that the deer weren't facing me, but I saw a lot of sign saying they were dropping, and I didn't get to look around as much as I'd hoped

Went out the 19th and swapped batteries and changed out the memory card, blank again. I got about half way to the camera before the skies opened and the downpour began.

I found a couple more pics of this buck going through some of my old pics

I think I'm going to call him the background buck because he's only in the background of pics of other deer. These two are zoomed in

Drag a weed eater with you and cut some of the stuff in front of your camera, you must get tons of pics of grass moving around.

I can't believe it but I really don't get that many, but I'm trying to leave the area as green and untouched as I can, I weedeated last year and the activity dropped off significantly

Went down and checked the cam again, I also cleared the weeds from in front of the cam and scouted a spot for my ground blind
