I sighted in a 1894 marlin lever gun for my father inlaw this morning. It is a special edition with a hex barrel,,a very nice looking weapon. I was very surprised at how well the rifle shot the 44 magnum handgun load. When it was all said and done,,,I was getting 2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards. To me that seems pretty impressive for a lever gun shooting a handgun load.
