How is Mark Twain Lake for fishing for Walleye, Crappie etc. When I first moved here in 1996, a couple co-workers took me up there crappie fishing. I never took my boat up, in fact the next year I sold my boat and jet ski's as no really close lake to fish or jet ski. I guess I was spoiled as I was use to Kansas (3 lakes with in an hour or less drive) and North Carolina where I lived 4 miles from Lake Norman. Have thought about buying a boat and go fishing again, which means I also have to buy new gear as I gave all my gear away a few years ago. Wife mentioned buying a place at LOZ and a boat. That is an idea, not sure I want to do. Not sure what type of boat to get. One just for fishing? cruising and fishing? I see guys pulling bass boats all the time but do not know where they are going. I was talking to a guy at the gym about boats, another guy walks up and says he is looking at a "460",aka SeaRay 460, 51 foot cruiser with dual diesels,,,, Another guy just bought a 24ft pontoon boat with 200hp outboard, said he took 7 guys out on it last Saturday, only problem they had with it was that they ran out of beer.
