i saved a fawn this spring while out trot/limb linin.
early mornin i thought i seen a dead fawn washed up on a tree in the middle of the gasconade. as i got in close with the boat i noticed it was still alive. i got about 2 feet from it in the boat. right when i was about to pick it up the lil sucker jumped into the water and swam to shore. he then looked at me and shaked the water off.
it was cool. and like always no camera on me while im in the boat.
after i checked the lines and got back to camp to tell everyone what happened evryone gave me crap about it. tellin me i was dumb to try to throw it in the boat. i just said hey, i felt sorry for the baby.
that mornin i seen a doe snortin and weezin about 1/2 mile from the fawn. we had yotes howlin all that night too. thinkin maybe the doe put the fawn there to protect it from the yotes. ???
