With the forecast when do you duckers think we will see the mallard numbers peak in north central Mo. Dec 10 is my guess. All I know about duck hunt’n is nothing

Hopefully there are still great numbers north of us. If not, a good portion of the migrating mallards may have already passed thru. I was boat riding on the river today for almost 4 hours. Saw a under 10 mallards and wouldn't have seen 20 ducks if we didn't scare a wad of ruddy ducks off their resting spot,. Maybe saw 25 total. Terrible for 12-1

Still a whole bunch of ducks in Nebraska and Iowa along the Missouri and river basin.

Plenty of birds still to come. Tuesday starts off the flight

Still a ton in north and south dakota, I was up in the area over thanksgiving and three different lakes close to where I was were full of big red legs and honkers. Sand lake was plugged. I never drove west or to the river. There is no snow below 94 and nothing but corn fields full of food. Season doesn't close there till the 6th.

Think there’s about 20 on the lake I’m on. They flew over me once at least!

Question for you gentlemen, I’ve been bow hunting between these two small lakes, one lake I never hear or see ducks or geese from, and one I continuously hear them on it, and it seems like one day it’s ducks and the next day it’s geese, is this common?
FYI I’ve never hunted them just observations I’ve made during my deer notes

In over 30 years of chasing waterfowl, I cannot give you a guaranteed correct answer. Why ducks favor one location over another could be food location, cover from predation, water depth, wind direction, other ducks on the water and many other factors ...
