Is DEAD!!!!!! This happened last year in South Carolina. Alway approach your deer from the rear and give it a poke. Never assume that it has expired. Thought it would be a good reminder for the season. I know I am a little late with it.

We had a bit of an undead deer recovery after the shooter did a Luke Bryant impression and pirouette. :clap:
Said 'dead deer' had it's rack pointed at the sky and both eyes closed which is a real good sign they're not dead. #RIP Poopie @Deeraholic

Holy [email protected]#&! Was that from hoof or antler? I usually use a pair of binos when approaching a down deer. I look at the nostrils if visible to see if they're flaring or look at the abdomen to see if it's moving.

If the hunter had hooves he probably could've gotten the hell out of the way.... unless the deer was aiming for his heart
