I was hoping to find them shallow but all I could find were the little males so I went back out and shot deep docks. The big females are just suspended out there waiting to crash the banks.
Cleaned 45 Friday and 30 today ( Wife, daughter and me).

Depends on what part of the lake your at.
I’m in the Nianguas and we are usually the last to go. These fish were a mixture, some of the eggs were tight and some were orange and loose.

You'll be wishing you had bought one years ago once you get used to those I-Pilot features. Spotlock alone is worth the cost! It's so freaking handy!

@bigbass Nice haul on the slabs. Bank beating is fun, but I'm starting to think that deep dock and offshore pattern is the way to go anytime of the year. It's just so consistent. Plus it's just fun shooting a dock and seeing that bright green line jump when a big black crappie inhales the bait.

I’m jealous. I was ready to pull the trigger on one but bought a new 40 hp jet instead.

Very rarely do I even fish the bank for them anymore. The only reason I did is because I wanted to cork em. The deep dock pattern is where it’s at and it’s year round deal. The amount of fish you can catch off a good dock is just crazy.
We’ll have to go shooting some time.
