Cott Firearms is closing down, here in Marshall!!! Everything in stock is 10% off, and his last day is Dec 31. Looked like he still had a pretty good inventory, both new and used, along with ammo, cleaning supplies, holsters, etc. Saw a couple different boxes of ammo I'll be picking up after work.

Noticed a Smith and Wesson M&P ar15, couple of the new Remington VTR's, and a reaaaallllly nice Sako tactical in 338 Lapua......:cheers::wave:

Don't know anything about that shop but I always hate to hear when a local gunshop closes it' door. Hannibal had one (Big River Sports) that closed about 10 years ago, Merkels in Quincy closed their gun/sporting goods shop last year.

Hopefully ownership of this one is going into retirement rather than quitting due to poor business conditions.:cheers:

They did have several Ducker shootguns in there as well, both new and used!!!!! Had a SBE-II with the pistola grip on it.....Would be just right for 3 gunnin, cept I want it black, instead of camo!:wave:

I'm sure that Sako was really nice, but the $$$$$$$$$$ for that thing and then the ammo, I'd have to take out a 2nd mortgage. :rof2:

Say, if you are going in there tonight, would you mind checking his pricing on the VTR's and see if he has one in 22-250? And also maybe seeing if he has a 6.5x55 in stock???

He did as of yesterday afternoon!!!! Had one with the green stock!!!
