Here's an opportunity in Lincoln County (pretty close to you St. Louis guys). Registration deadline is coming right up. See below or attachment:


Do you have an interest in learning more about topics such as pond management, fruit tree establishment, deer habitat improvement or timber sales? If so, the 2013 Lincoln County Conservation Roundup is for you! The Missouri Department of Conservation is teaming up with the Lincoln County Soil & Water Conservation District to host this event which will consist of a series of educational seminars presented throughout the day. Each presentation will be 45 minutes in length and will be delivered by an expert in the field. Seminar topics will include: Fruit Tree Establishment, Pond/Fish Management, Timber Sales & Management, Agricultural Cover Crops, Pond Weed Management, Prescribed Grazing Systems, Introduction to Beekeeping, Trespass & Poaching Issues, Deer Habitat Improvement and Horticultural Impacts of the 2012 Drought.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Troy-Buchanan High School and will run from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm. A free lunch will be provided to all registrants and attendees can stay all day or just stop in for one or two seminars. The Conservation Roundup is open to the public, but seating is limited to the first 100 registrants.
