.....and I should've got him with my bow, but I couldn't seal the deal! Back in early Oct. my buddy had this guy at 25 yds, full draw, but he was behind a little brush (he was hunting, I was filming). We needed him to take two more steps, but he caught our wind and high tailed it out of there. Doesn't that always seem to be the way it goes! I got to within 40 yds, 10 days later by my self, but couldn't get a clean shot at him and had to watch him walk off with a ten point of similar size. That was the last time either of us saw him (mid Oct.), until opening day of gun season. He showed up at first light, and I knew who it was as soon as I saw him....I would've really enjoyed getting this guy with my bow, but am still very, very please to have been able to harvest him with a gun....... We got a little footage of him during our first encounter, thats what the last three images are of. The video is so shaky, its difficult to watch. So we paused the tv, then took a pic of the screen. That why the images have that banding across them (and notice he is running away!! ha). And I also apologize for the "natural" setting of the deer in the back of my jeep....somehow I deleted all the good images off my camera before I had a chance to copy them over, like an idiot. So, I've been scrambling around trying to get pics from everyone else. this is all i have so far.
