The size and fight just keeps getting better at Roaring River

Did you use Don Higgins photographer?
Probably one of those fish poachers using cheese flavored bait or something.
The park rangers and game wardens have definitely been passing out autographs lately.
You just can't underestimate the general public, you are fishing in a STATE PARK! It's a shame but I'm sure many of them could spend every weekend there and stay busy.

I’ll be down at Bennett this weekend and Monday. Then it’s off to the woods till next Monday. Hopefully the deer cooperate while I’m on vacation. I haven’t hunted a minute yet this year. Fishing hasn’t been super at Bennett, but the fish size has been mediocre the last month or so.

That's a 12 in composite board at the cleaning station. The biggest one was almost 17 inches and maybe 2 1/2 pounds. A fierce fight on 2 lb test and ultralight spinning gear.
Holy Smokes ! Nicely done !
