Best bet is give the smaller shops a call and check first. BP and Cabelas will be open, I know Cabelas hours will only be 12:00-5:00.

Did some checkin on a couple of handguns last weekend at both these places, and I couldn't believe the price differences. Cabelas (on the Kansas side) was $100 cheaper on the same gun than it was BP (Missouri side). Have to pay the FFL fee in Mo if I bought the gun at Cabelas but thats not a problem. Rifles and shotguns you can walk right out with.

Doemaster...look up the CMP on the web. Its www.odcmp.com They sell WWI and WWII surplus rifles to civilians who meet qualifications. It is easy to do and if you want a good mil surp gun this is the way to get it. U2U leemozoid....he was big time with CMP and can give you specifics but their site explains it all. You can get M1 .30 cal carbine and/or M1 Garand at waaaayyyy more affordable prices then in stores. All you have to do if fax them your proof of citizenship, hunters ed card, driver's license and there may be one more thing. If you are under 18 your mom may have to do it. Anyway, check em out. They also have a forum that you can read about all sorts of things that would catch your interest. Just lettin you know from one mil surp gun nut to another.:cheers:
