This is just a little explanation for the long Ricasso on my knives. The Ricasso is that un-sharpened area in from of the guard at the back edge of the cutting area.
Not many makers do this, but I DO!
This allows for much greater control of the knife.
Unfortunately, I can only post one photo per post here, so there will also be another photo!!
If a customer did not want it that way, I guess I would oblige, but reluctantly!
Once you've had this much control on your knife, you would want it that way all the time!

I am a knife enthusist and I know what you are talking about and I agree that you are making a good design.
As for only posting one pic per post there is a way to post multiple pics per post. Post the link to the pic with (
) on each end of the link in the reply box. Leave the () off. Good luck!
