Planted a couple small patches (1/4 acre each) of sunn hemp & cow peas mixed to hopefully add some N to the soil for this fall's hunting plots. But it doesn't appear that is gonna happen. The dang deer don't want to cooperate. Not sure if it'll keep up/overcome the browsing to be of any use for what I was trying. I had hoped the sunn hemp would grow fast enough to beat the pressure even in a small plot. Ain't looking to good as of yet, nearly every plant is nipped off. Oh well I had to try it to find out if it would work. Who knows maybe it'll still happen but I'm doubting it.

If they allow it to have some leaves and they don't kill it ,, the stuff may still be doing its N thing.

Never tried the sun hemp: but peas around my place are lucky to get leaves before they're gone
