just a heads up... clearance stuff at bass pro
Just to let you all know...many items are being clearanced at BPS. All the stuff is 2005 models that were clearanced to make way for the 2006 models.
heres some of the things off the top of my head....

Shimano Bantam Curado (green) is being discontinued
by shimano and now the new curado (silver) has been bumped up in price to $200 and the shimano "citica" has been revamped and priced at $119 to take the placement of the famous "green" curado which is now clearanced at $90

quantum kinetic spinning- $39 (reg $69)
" catalyst " - $59 (reg $89)
" energy " - $ 109 (reg $139)

The Bass Pro Shops "Bassmasters" series of lures and rods/reels is being discontinued but if anything happens to the products they will be replaced with comparable reels/rods which makes it nice to know that since its discontinued you arent out of luck if it fails or needs parts.
The bassmasters line of hardbaits (made by team diawa and luckycraft) are $3.99 now, along with the tungsten spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits $3.99 (reg $8-$15).
Tonight i picked up another baitcast combo (bassmaster 1000H baitcaster and a bassmaster professional series rod 6'6mht) which are regular priced together at $200.................but since they are on clearance and i pay half only the clearance price i got the combo for $50 total. I also picked up a bunch of the crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwater, spinners, and buzzbaits at half the clearance price.
I know alot of people may bash the Bps line of fishing stuff...but if they knew who made alot of the reels/rods and crankbaits/etc. they would be suprised. Browning fishing is owned and run by Bps. Pfleuger makes alot of our reels, and diawa/lucky craft among other big companies make our fishing Baits. I can say much for alot of the regular "redhead line" but the fishing stuff is usually real good quality at at alot cheaper price since its an in-store brand.
It looks like after tonight and buying 40 or 50 new cranks/etc, and a ton of new soft plastics and jigs.... and picking up a new combo to go with the other billion i have anyways im pretty sure im gonna be ready for the season this year......hopefully
I just thought id let you all know about the clearance stuff on sale now because the stuff will go fast at those prices. Theres nothing wrong with the product but they are 2005 models etc. Right now is the time to stock up on stuff with the prices at what they are right now. I just thought id pass this little bit of info along to the family her at MWT:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:
Also I will hopefully be getting the management position i was offered at bps here within the next few weeks (finally that degree is paying off )....gonna be a good opprotunity and ill get to travel to some fun spots and the pay is muchhhhh better than what im making now...just please keep it quiet till i get it because i dont wanna count my chickens before they hatch ..........now i just have to contemplate to stay with Bps or start IBEW in the spring since i got accepted---decisions,...:cheers: decisions
