I had a few pounds of purple top turnip and winter wheat to spread that members said to go ahead and spread now instead of waiting for better dirt work on the dozer path for the future fence build of my neighbors. Well I spread it on the 1st of September and it has gotten one rain on the seeds since then. I think it has sprouted so I took a few photos of the baby plants that has come up. Since I took these photos the neighbor has come through with the dozer once again where these seeds had sprouted. Doubt any will survive the disturbance. Maybe I can cast new seeds in a couple of weeks starting over again.

Are these baby turnip and winter wheat plants?

Put in your bifocals old man!
Don't put so many pictures in the same post it locked up on me and it would not load them. You have a lot of brassica showing

I poste from my computer at home but added the photos from my new phone. Didn't mean to load that many pics.
Looks like everyone you've been complaining about saying plant now may have been right. Hope you still get some growth after the bulldozer gets done.

Got only $30 invested in the seeds and most have been buried or pushed into a brush pile so not all that much invested. Once the fence goes in (soon I hope) I can reseed fairly easy.

You didn't stay to hunt long at your place.

Sort of bummed when the dozer fired up last night around 4 pm and stopped just before dark. Most of my seeds had been dozed into brush piles and I didn't know if he was going to fire it up again this evening so I came home to watch the Chiefs game (no signal at my cabin).

I didn't know you were a Chiefs fan.
Throw some seed in that front yard . I have a couple doe & fawn that will hang around close like that. When you come and go they will just watch or trot over in the woods edge . Then when you go in or leave they'll come right back. As long as you don't screw with them, doe are buck bait.
Still plenty time to throw out some more wheat or rye grain Mailman. Probably even still get at least some top growth from turnips, but gettin late for any bulb growth on those. Good luck

Sort of hard to uproot a huge oak tree that is growing on the property line without going across the line.

Does your neighbor ever visit MWT?

While I do agree with this somewhat. MM has said this is a good neighbor, and he is an absentee land owner. Absentee land owner's need good neighbors and even though MM says he doesn't need this fence it does add value to his land should he decide to sell. I would look at it as a minor inconvenience.
Sure feel sorry for that neighbor......
When i suggested planting a plot I assumed the dozer work was done and the fence was up. Still not a bad idea....too bad he pushed back through it again after it came up.

If you do decide to reseed I’d go with winter wheat or cereal rye instead of brassicas. Maybe call the neighbor and ask if he’s done with the dozer first?

It's easier to take pics to complain on the internet and make excuses rather than talk to his neighbor.
