If it were me, I'd just leave my mom out of it. I was like you, I wanted them all and I wanted them now. Just be patient, save your money, and buy what you want. Took me 3 months of 40 hours a week when I was 16 to buy my first gun (Ruger Mini 14). Still my favorite gun to this day because I remember working my tail off that summer.

I go through this on occasion... I complain that if something isnt used we dont really need it.

Nothing wrong with Mossberg firearms. Some guys just aren't budget minded.

With the attributes of youth most any firearm should serve you well.
