How do you not have a tag?
I've had to turn around a couple times over the years to go buy a tag because I forgot. Same with a fishing license. Know a guy that had to make a mad dash for a snow goose conservation order permit. It does happen
You don't if you are one of the biggest huntingbindustry personalities!
The offense looks to have happen on 12/19, again seems interesting he didn't purchase a license
Look like Lee lakowsky is a friggin LIaR!
Seems odd a picture of the ticket would exist, also if you google the address I didn't see anything that looked like the overhead views I have seen of their farm but could be mistaken. But the official Iowa DNR said it was a standard ticket and court fees and it wasn't a major violation like poaching, repeat offense, or criminal charges. So obviously he didn't kill an illegal deer or it would have been poaching.Ticket must be a fake
In lee's excuse he said he used the wrong tag, seems like the reason may have been because she never purchased the right tag???
But that be poaching they said right after incident on Iowa DNR page it was just standard tag.Which usually means the right tag was in possession but wrong tag used or something to that effect. If he had killed it without a valid tag at all the Iowa DNR would have that deer on display at headquarters.I believe his story as it explains why deer wasn't taken from him
The photo of the ticket is 100% real and easily verified.
Go to Iowa Courts online and enter his name (Lee J Lakosky) in the search engine.
I will pull up the case showing the exact same citation # (NR563536) , exact same fine broken down exactly the same (Fine $100, Costs $60, Sucharge $35, Total $195), exact same charge # 481A.38.
Click around on the various tabs and then convince me the ticket is not 100% authentic!
Regardless it obviously isn't a major citation they stated it on their page and the deer wasn't taken. If you don't have valid tag and you tag it with someone else's tag they take the deer every single time
Funny........I don't recall ever saying that it was a "major" violation - just that the ticket as presented is 100% legitimate which it obviously is correct?
In case you're not aware, unlike Missouri, Iowa allows "party hunting" in which any member of a party can tag a deer killed by any member of their party as long as they have a valid tag. It appears by the information on the ticket as well as the charges filed that the tag was purchased by another member of his party after the kill took place, hence the violation.
Also, since you are obviously a closet defender of Lee, if you had bothered to look up the section he was charged with you can plainly see what actually occurred.
Sec 571-106.9 (481A)
It may be the actual ticket, but that doesnt mean what written on it is correct. When this first came out I remember both he and dnr having the same story and it being a simple mistake.
I'm referring to this post it was created to call the him some sorry disgrace to hunting and it appears to be he made a mistake they considered and honest mistake.I could care less what Lee does it just is common occurrence these days that if someone does something the witch hunt occurs.God forbid he had harvested the deer with a crossbow he then need be hung and quartered.I'm a defender of if its an honest mistake then its an honest mistake
Please oh master of google, feel free to point out anything written on the picture of the ticket as submitted, that is NOT verified had you clicked on the link I provided and done the case research!
It's all a grand conspiracy right? SMH
Do I need to get my red crayons out and circle the pertinent sections for you?
Given it was during shotgun season, who knows what kind of rule he may have violated, but it doesnt appear to be anything major or intentional.
So let me make sure I'm following your logic here.
Lee wrote an apology letter so the picture of the ticket as posted is bogus.........I get it........right!
Once again, feel free to point out anything written on the picture of the ticket as submitted, that is NOT verified had you clicked on the link I provided and done the case research!
Come on Hawk - I'm disappointed in you - surely you can come up with something better than that!
Please show me something in their system that says that LEE purchased the tag after it was killed... Im not saying he didnt, but whats written on the tag may not mean what you or anyone else thinks it means.
BTW-- I never said the pic was fake, I said that what is written on it may not be correct or correctly interpreted.
I didnt say anything of the sort. Im saying, that unless killing a deer you dont have a tag for is just no big deal in Iowa, unlike MO, ks, IL, Colorado, etc., then he must have had a tag prior and had some sort of mix up. Either that or the court just let him go after he shot a deer he didnt have a tag for, plus let him keep the deer... Doesnt add up.
I see nowhere in the link you submitted where it says (purchased tag after harvest)
What are they suppose to say when IA's first family of deer hunting gets busted? Why don't you go up there and shoot a buck, then send your MIL to buy you a tag after the fact. I would guess it plays out a little differently...
There has been plenty of tv hunters busted for major violations, doubt Iowa is covering up his violation. If so I don't think there would be a violation at all. They would have went to his house and you would have never heard about anything.I think its pretty stupid to use the wrong tag and I don't see any scenario where I could do it, but I wasn't there and I'm not familiar with how all their landowner tags an stuff work.I just don't think its some conspiracy I think if he full out poached it,he would have lost the deer and been just like the other tv hunters that have been busted. But who knows I guess anything is possible I just have my doubts
