    I am properly introducing myself...

 I just moved to Knob Noster, MO. from Florida. I am in the Air Force. Love anything outdoors, especially hunting. I look forward to learning from all of you, and sharing what i can with the community. I could really use some info on finding some private land to hunt. Public land is a little crowded from what i hear (up for interpretation...i know each opinion is just that...an opinion). I do like to be able to scout and prep the land i hunt and that is difficult with public land. I am primarily a gun hunter, but learning the stick and string methods. I will get alot more time in the woods with the bow. I have never downed a "monster buck" ... but hope to change that soon.

I wouldnt mind traveling a few hours...depending on amount of land and oppurtunity for deer. No more than 1 or so if it is a one day thing, but if i had a place to put a camper overnight then that could stretch out to 4 or 5 hrs drive.

You are in top notch waterfowling territory. from a couple of hours north of ya to a couple of hours south of your present location... Private land maybe a tough find at this time... But your uniform may work wonders...

Knob Noster!! Yeah, as in Whiteman AFB?!? Maybe you've heard of that?! Thanks for your service man. I'm also stationed at Whiteman, only as a Reservist! One thing about Knob is that it sits right in the middle of a ton of farmland, so your chances to find something private should be a possibility. You could always go door to door or you could maybe make a post on Craigslist. I've seen lots of guys do that too. Would probably grab more attention if you're willing to swap a little work for some rights to access?!?

    Welcome, MoFire
