It was basically the first one I found in MO. I haven't really looked that hard to find one closer.

There are several. I looked at 2 different ones this past summer. Both had good reviews over on arfcom. Was leaning towards the one out in Ks, though. Was about the same $, but had a higher round count, which means more range time!!!

You'll also find out what breaks, in a class like that, I'd imagine!!! I'd rather find out there, than somewhere else!!!:wave:

I think it looks like fun, and one could probably learn a lot from a class like this. But, I need to stock up on ammo and buy some more accessories before I can consider doing it.

San Diego County used to have a stress-fire course that sounds kind of similar to this. It was a three-gun course - handgun, rifle and shotgun. All three had to be in standard duty issue configuration. Once a year they held a competition between all agencies with local offices and the military. Scores were based on good shots and time to complete the course. You got docked or DQ'ed for misses, shooting a good guy, gun safety issues, etc. I got to compete in it from '82 - '86. It was an absolute blast. Good times, good shooting (mostly) and at times, very humbling.

I talked to the wife about my interest in this lastnight. She asked my why I couldn't just buy a book, read how to do it, then go do it on a shooting range? So, I am going to have to educate her a little bit so she understands the reasoning behind it. :stickfight:

It's funny you should mention reading a book about it. I just got this email from someone about practicing dry fire shooting and the manual about it.
