Bump for pics!
dont forget the chargers for your phones. Good luck
I made sure to bring extra!
Yep, I have them saved!
Well, it's not longer a surprise for my wife and I.
We had a baby girl at 2009 on the 9th.
Remi Mae Porter
20.5" and 8lbs 10oz.
It was a rough night because my wife had some complications and needed a transfusion. I don't do well when I have that helpless feeling.
Then on top of that we found out my wife's grampa passed away within 5 minutes of our daughter being born.
We may get to go home today, but pics will soon follow.
Oh heck man I'm sorry to hear it. I hope all is going to be okay with the wife and baby. That's a pretty awesome name though, totally dig it. The grandpa passing is tough. Something I never wish on anyone.
Congrats on the young one, sorry to hear about the grandpa
That's good stuff right there buddy! Congrats!
Congrats on an outstanding year all around.
Thanks, everyone. We just got home and now it's go time!
Congrats ICY, they grow fast enjoy every second you get a chance.
Where is your next adventure Iceman?
I hope the complications are behind you.
Congrats on a beautiful baby girl. Your life just got more complicated and more worthwhile at the same time.:
We are looking good to go now. I think we are just watching out for normal post pregnancy stuff now. But I won't let my wife lift a hand for the next 10 days if she doesn't have to. I've already come home and cleaned the entire house, cooked her dinner and now Im just doing whatever she needs. I want her and the baby to be happy! She lets me get away with so much hunting, I want to make sure I maintain that good relationship. haha
So Im still chasing whitetail down here in Florida.
The season is going until Mid February and the rut is JUST starting to kick off.
So after a few days of taking care of mama and the baby, I'll sneak out for some morning of evening hunts.
Then come March Spring gobbler will kick off.
As far as stuff coming up I am trying to sneak away for a Barbary sheep hunt sometime in Feb-April out in NM. I'll also tie that in with a massive shed hunt in some units I used to hit hard.
I've also got my April KS turkey hunt coming up quick too!
I put in my 2017 NM applications today and I've got a lot more applying this year for other place. This year is gonna be cool, I just feel it. I think it's because it started off so cool with my daughter being born.
Congrats on the new kiddo!
Well, I had think I'm going to wrap this one up so I can start my plans for the 2017 journal.
This was another fantastic year and I had an absolute ball.
The freezer is full, my wife and I had a beautiful baby girl, and I got to do what I love best.... play in the woods and share my experiences with everyone!
I am going to be naughty and leave a cliff hanger......
Florida deer is open until Feb 14th and the ruts about to kick off!!!!
So instead of squeezing it into this years journal, I'll just start it in my 2017.
Deer until Feb 14th, Kentucky shed hunting trip Feb 16-21, spring gobbler and more coming up... oh and I've already put my New Mexico apps in.
Anyways, you all enjoy yourself..... I've got a date with this guy
Wow that's a nice buck to chase this early in the year! Also just curious where your shed hunt is planned! Love all the pics man, keel up the good work
Eastern Kentucky. Carter county and Lewis county!
Then I am heading to NM in April to hit up two units that I've hunted regularly.
Then depending on how the cards fall with this round of NM draws, I'll potentially go shed hunt/scout those areas for Memorial day and the 4th of July day weekend. :
