wonder how many members are out there braving the wind and rain to get a shot on the last evening of rifle season. me..no go. I spent all day yesterday in the blind and seen notta, so the wife took today for the all day huntin. she had to come back to the house for a few hours but she's back out there. she saw 2 does this morning but they were running across the pipeline and couldnt get a shot, so we thought about where to go in the afternoon and eventually decided to go to my bow stand. the wind (even though its blowin like mad) is right, and I had 2 buttonheads come in the other day when i was there. hopefully that big 8 i saw the day before rifle season will show back up for her...or she at least gets to see something.

My wife is at a work conference today....hence my presence on here instead of in a treestand.

I'm frying some walleye and northern pike for dinner....along with cornbread and fried potatos.

I was holding on to his ears. For what ever reason rigor mortis and such, I could keep his head straight. I didn't want to hold onto the antlers so I grabbed his ears. I got 1 pic with my face in it.
