I agree----other then the fact that the temp is sitting at 9 outside and its almost a whiteout------It would be a great day to be on the lake!:cheers:Originally posted by Jig Man
What is wrong with you guys. Don't you know this is one of the best times of the year for specs?
The last report that I got was from the first of this week-----Not a bite while fishing for Bass, Walleye, or Papersmouths!:cheers:Originally posted by Jig Man
Pman,
It is 4° here at my house. A lot of the old time crappie guys say this is the best winter in their memories for crappie on Stockton, Pomme, LOZ, and the Rock. No one is mentioning Bull Shoals. Are there any fish left down there?

They are known by lots of names depending on where you live----Down here most call them crappie, some call them papermouths, we all call them FUN!:cheers:Originally posted by Snowman

A couple of people I know who live and fish down there say there probably won't be a die off this year. It's been too warm.Originally posted by Transplanted Hoosier
I'm awaiting word on the annual shad kill on the White River below Bull Shoals, hear the big Browns go nuts. Gonna head out with the wife and another couple the first weekend, I am supposed to be on an email alert for it.

I'm fishing the upper end of the lake for walleye and crappie later this week. I'll let you know what it was like.
