i need an accurate 60 -68 grain bullet behind____ grains of ____ powder that will give me velcocity somewhere between 2900 and 3000 fps.

please help!

Hornady 60 Gr. Spire point Win 748 powder 24.3 GR. @ 2900 fps 25.4 GR. @3000 fps. These are NOT MAX LOADS.

25.5 Varget with 69 Matchkings works well, maybe a little faster than that.
24.5 AA-2230-C (NOT regular 2230) runs around 2900fps in a 24" bbl.
I've used these loads in matches at 200 yards, shooting at eggs, and at PDs in heavy wind, in SD. H-335 and 748 will work as well, though they don't burn as cleanly, at least in my rifle. You should have at least a 1-9" twist barrel to stabilize those bullets......

one of my favorite loads in .223 is the 40 gr. v max with 27 gr. of 748. tese are tack drivers out of my howa. will do a job of p dogs and coyotes. for 60 gr. v max 26 gr. of 748 will move it a little over 3000 fps.

Hey, Mule, you know where I can find some of that 2200? I have had several people recommend it for the .221 Fireball I just bought. I haven't seen any for years and years, and yeah, I know it only comes in 8 pound jugs..... just like the 2230-C I like in my .223s...... I think an 8 pounder would last a LONNNGGGG time, feeding a Fireball......
