... but scored on a doe today.

I shot her at 08:10 and had only been in the stand for 1/2 hour because I had to go find another tree from my climber. The first tree had too smooth a bark on it and I kept sliding down. So I didn't get set up until after 07:30.

I had 3 does come down the hill in front of me and this one walked out right into my shooting lane at 30 yards. I had to wait for her to turn broadside and when she did, I sent my arrow into her chest. It wasn't a complete pass thru, but I saw most of the arrow sticking out her chest. I guess it feel out somewhere along the way, but I never saw it. The snow must have covered it.

She ended up going over 100 yards I think, but bedded down pretty close to one of the roads. Just had to drive over and put her in the back of the truck.

First deer for me this year. Kind of late, I know.

Glad to see you guys get a little snow to hunt in...We didnt get any...THIS TIME!

The snow is just perfect for hunting. I gonna try for a buck tomorrow if the hunting gods are so inclined. See ya'll tomorrow.
