opps sorry i had missed this

    San Antonio was AWESOME

we took the kid to sea world (money pit)
spent a day seeing the river walk the alamo and some places down town

went to the buckhorn saloon and meusem IT WAS AWESOME!

it was opened in 1881 and has changed hands a few times and moved locations but is currently owned by the grandkids of the original owner and just a few blocks from the original site....

the history of that place is just really really cool
the origanal owner traded shots of whiskey for antlers to start his collection
    the place surived prohibiton

    there is some awesome displays
the hall of horns with many booners on display including a 224 4/8 ince moose

back when the place opened the owner traded wiskey for horns
they have a hall of horns, hall of fins hall of feathers and a texas ranger hall.

    pretty neat place....

as far as the bow fishing trip went

    it was unreal!!!

the guy i met up with to take me had a week of bad luck
on tuesday he woke up and his truck was on blocks some one stole 3 grand worth of wheels and tires
    then on the fishing trip
we were running up river was planning to go to a spot 13 miles up got about 10 miles and there was but poping and a clunk and his lower unit locked up on him.....so they got calling friends and found a couple guys they knew about 20 miles down they came and towed us up river 3 more miles

we found ALOT of fish and seen several that were 6-7ft

BUT ITS A WHOLE DIFFERNT BALL GAME DOWN THERE

basically you wait wait wait...and then you will see a fish roll out of the water kinda like you think of seeing dalphins do....and then you shoot......its fast and its nuts cause most of them time the fish is already back in the water and you cant even see it and your winging arrows blind......

    crazy....

missed a shot i really should have had on a 6fter....we all three shot at and and missed it....and it was a give me....
we had to leave early in the afternoon in order to get the 13 miles back down river with the current and troller...and of course about the time we had to leave the fish were really getting active....I have no doubts if we had gotten to stay till dark we would have gotten some good fish....

as a matter of fact when we were going on saw a couple more of his buddys going up talke to them later and they shot a 5'9" and three 4 something gator gar...they sent me picks and they were setting right at the same trees we were fishing before we left....go figure....

    I WILL GO BACK THOUGH!!!
