So i went to my local archery shop today and shot each of the new 2010 Hoyt Bows and all the new 2010 Matthews bows today..
First of all I will have to say that I have NEVER been a fan of Matthews bows.. and when I started shooting the newest models from this year I was highly disappointed once again.. that is UNTIL i got the Z7 in my hand... And i am here to tell ya that this z7 may change my mind about Matthews all together.. Every other bow they released by Matthews this year was terrible IMO but the z7 was an amazing bow!!
After I shot the Matthews bows I began to shoot Hoyts 2010 line up.. Starting with the Alphaburner.. The alphaburner is crap.. Dont waste your money.. When I started shooting the Maxxis 31 i was in awe of how smooth it felt once the shot was fired.. I literally felt nothing when the arrow left the bow.. Very slick..
So here is my dilemna.. I cant decide which one of these bows to purchase in the near future.. I have always told myself that I would never own a Matthews bow because I truly thought they all were crap.. The z7 is truly the first bow I have shot by Matthews that I really thought was a great bow.. The Maxxis was also an amazing shooting bow.. The main difference in the two I noticed was that the z7 had a smoother draw than the maxxis while the maxxis had a smoother release than the z7 .... hhhmmmm choices..
