i got this carp in my pond i want to land him and check him out. i dont want to bowfish it cuz i want to throw it back. how can i catch a carp without catching alot of catfish? any ideas??? i see him up on shore in about 5 inches of water i can easly bowfish him. im thinkin flypole?!
Bowkil, I always used the cheapest canned corn I could find and fill a hook up with it. You can also bait the spot you want to catch him by dumping 4-5 cans there and coming back in about 30-60 minutes. This is how I got all three of my kids interested in fishing when they were young. It works.
You could always find a female carp and doll her up in a real provocative carp sexy suit. Throw it in the spot with the corn, come back three days later and he'll JUMP OUT OF THE WATER into your arms wanting rescued cause he's sick of listening to how he never cleans up the nest. How He needs to stay home and not go to the Krusty Krab with the guys, and how she feels he's just not committed to a real relationship.................
Oh! I'm sorry was that outloud?:whip:
Maybe just the corn and bread dough balls. :bangin:
If it is a grass carp roll a joint toss it in the water when the carp goes for it jump in a grab him.
