have you hunted this fall? i hunted 57 days not all day sits but a morning or a evening hunt, it was a slow season for as much time as i invested, i am thrilled it all came together but after reading another post about a fellow not being succesful i just wondered how much time he actually put in a stand, it dont always happen in the first day or two, just curious :cheers:

hunted 4days.seen 5bucks opening day and didnt see another deer til thursday of gun season.and shot a buck.really slow where i hunt

A butt load, every single weekend since season started and about 2 weeks of regular days

probably sat 20 times in the bow stand. no all day sits, usually till around 10 or 11. rifle stand i sat a total of 0 hours, 0 minutes and 0 seconds. didn't miss it a bit.:cheers:

Not near as much as in years past. 30-40 would be my best guess. But I'm nowhere near done, so I'd say add at least 15-20 days to that # by end of season.

2 mature does killed

1 mature buck and two mature does down.
Usually saw deer every time, few bobcats, a red fox, coyotes and turkeys

1 gobbler with a shotgun.
1 doe with a bow.
1 doe with a rifle.
1 coyote with a rifle.
and passed on several deer.

About 12 hours with my bow and still havent tagged out yet.:hysterical:.A couple full days with rifle and passed on a couple does and thats it for me.Gonna try to get in a few days still yet but not lookin to good.

a whole heck of a lot, probably 10 all days sits and 30-40 mornings and/or afternoons. the 3 days I believe he sat pale in comparison to many successful hunters I know.

Archery: Spent about 6 hours (two 3 hr hunts) before I took my 8 point.

Rifle: Two hours and took my 9 point.


Knowing your hunting area and where and when the deer will be there is the key.....but sometimes I loose that "key" and end up with an empty freezer. Might make me a spare key and keep it under a rock by my deer stand...ya think?

Not nearly as many as I have in the past. And my wife isn't complaining, she loves it when I tag out with the bow before gun season!

I have spent 10 days bow hunting and 5 days gun hunting and I will be out a few more times with the muzzle loader before deer season ends.

Last year it was over 30 days all together.

Hunted approximately 50 times, 2/3'rds are all day hunts.
Rifle season alone was 75 hours.....
Shot one doe on November 1st & haven't hardly seen a deer on my lease since the 2nd day of rifle season. :whinging:
