I was fishing a private lake today. I had no sign of bass but I saw Dozens of carp and japanese koi. MONSTERS. 5 foot long fish easily identifiable because they were huge white logs floating near the top.

So my question is... What do I use and how do I catch carp / koi?

I will bowfish the spot tomorrow.

i would say they are grass carp from the way you are describing them, if they are they very rarely bite on corn or any other bait

I know that pet stores buy them. there may be a limit on how old they can be. but rich folks have them in there pond gardens for status symbols. those with the most big koi are kings. put them in a stock tank or something and put then on ebay.
