Anyone else a fan of these pistols? I only own 1, a GB from 1950 but I love it. Made like a Swiss watch, can be torn down for cleaning in less than 10 seconds and reassembled just as quickly.

So who else has a love or appreciation for High Standard pistols? What cha got? I keep looking for them (looked at 1 today) but he had it priced too high IMO.

My wife has one given to her by her Father. It's her favorite one to shoot. Model H-D Military. Well balanced and is accurate.

My great uncle bought 2 supermatic citation’s when he came home from WWII. They were consecutive serial numbers and were for him and his wife. I got one of them and he gave the other to his brother in law that sold everything he ever got. Made me mad and wish I would’ve got the other one. Would’ve have paid him 3 times for what it was worth. Best 22 pistol IMO.

My cousin has an old Sharpshooter that he taught me how to pistol-shoot with. They were an inexpensive version of the "real" target pistols. It shot really well, if I remember correctly. He has some Duramatics (field guns, fixed sights), too. My first handgun was a High Standard revolver, a "Marshal" variant, with fake stag grips and a 5.5" barrel. My brother had the "Hombre", which had a 4.5" barrel and walnut grips. Those two revolvers are sub-models of the Double-Nines, which were pretty good for what you paid for them. I had a lot of fun with that little nine-gun, killed a few rabbits and squirrels and a few *****, too. I wish I still had it, it got stolen some years ago.

Here is a pic of a GB like mine. I had been a fan of Ruger MK's until I got a High Standard.

I have always liked High Standard pistols. I find it kind of funny that the military has used all of the pistols for training at one time or another except the Military. By the way, if you have a Military be very careful about taking it apart or you may be making a trip to the local gunsmith to get it reassembled.
I have several High Standards that were my grandfather's. Very nice shooting guns. He shot matches with one or two of them.

I have a high standard double 9 revolver that I have a for along time. I use it primarily for the trap line. Just wish it had the magnum cylinder.

I had a model "B" that I bought over 50 years ago, my son has it now. The barrel is 6 inches or so.

my dad had a semi while I was a growing up kid. Loved that pistol!
Got my gpaws double 9 when he got much older. Chrome with black grips. Loved that gun too.
My "wife" at the time sold it to get her drugs. Pised me off!
I keep looking for her obit. One day she will pay for what she did to me.
