Anyone know of a good tannery other than Moyle that is maybe more local to the midwest.

Have always sent them to Moyle, if you find something else let us know how you like the finished product.
I used USA Foxx in Minnesota. Several years ago. The did good on a elk hide.
Mom has a coyote coat made by Foxx, nice coat and was cheap at the time. I supplied the Dakota coyotes and my dad had it sewn for their 40th anniversary, gorgeous coat. I have a buddy having a good year on the woofs and another friend wants a couple for hanging. Always used Moyle, but their turn around time is LOOOng.

Nice!! Are the lips and ears turned? Are they dry? Tanning hides for display is pretty quick and easy. The hardest part is hide prep. A bottle of Krowtann will do what ya want for cheap if you wanna do it yourself.
Am Tan is the biggest in the US if you are gonna pay someone else to do it.

Not that I'm sticking my nose in anything

But you get in a little trap line up north

Sure would be two hides hanging proud on my wall

Not mine, my trapping and wolf shooting days are over. Just doing a favor. Remind me sometime to tell you wolf stories... Back before the greenies made such a fuss and ended or tried to end same day flying and hunting (aerial shooting has always been illegal in my time).
A guy used to be able to ride with a pilot and get dropped off ahead of the pack on a big river or lake crossing downwind of the trail in deep snow. All you had to do was wait for the pack to run down the trail to you... Jump up and start shooting. Sounds easy, lot of things can and do go wrong. Young mans game, people get smarter as they get older. Guy I hired for the summer is a pilot with a plane, might make a few fishing runs on down time in June. No hunting woofs.
