I see Hickory Nuts dropping in my yard are Squirrels cutting them yet?

I'm thinking more to the middle of the month. I have a little Ice Lunch Box, I put water in and freeze it. Thinking of going ahead cleaning Squirrels putting them on ice.

Crazy for many years just gutted them and came home. Must be getting more picky.

Wind probably blew the hickory nuts off the limb. I get that in my yard after a storm or particularly windy day.

Well Squirrels are cutting in my yard. I was surprised them cutting middle of July when I lived in Wheatland.

Still tad warm to be hunting.

Never seen it this early. Wonder why? It's been so dry around here I'm surprised the nuts are close to being eat worthy.
