Family vaca, but rented a house on st Mary's river, UP for a week.
St Mary's is the shipping river channel the comes out of lake superior and dumps into Huron and L Michigan. Feeds the Drummond island and detour areas.
Gonna spend a couple days with the family at Mackinac island and cross into Canada at Sault st Marie. But I have a pontoon boat for the week and plan on smallmouth , walleye and pike fishing all that I can.
Can't wait.

Love mi. This 1st yr in 5 yrs we arent going up there wife wanted us to go to gulf shores for vac this yr. We leaving sat . . Enjoy mi . I love it up there

Spent 7 months at Traverse City, MI.
at the Coast Guard Air Rescue Station .
Nice construction job.
Beautiful area. Nice people.

Here is a tip about Mackinac Island, do not buy any souvenirs on the island. Everything like shirts, fudge, and knick knacks can be found in Mackinaw City for a lot less money. Also you must eat at Darrow's Family Restaurant, their desserts are fantastic!
